Come with me to the park on a beautiful sunny autumn day, renewal your spirit and embrace all that you are within.
Sitting on the park bench, I watch the colorful abstract of leaves gracefully fall to the earth’s floor, carrying the year’s energies that no longer serve me;
Knowing Mother Earth will consume, revitalize,and nourish the ground with them in a renewal hope that Spring will soon bring…
Filling my heart, soul, with promise, with light, with love;
Cherishing the lessons learned that each leaf carries as it dances to the ground, into the embrace of the earth, I know that I am stronger, wiser, freer;
And just as I have, the trees that bears its leaves,
will be stronger with each passing year,
weathering the storms it has endured;
standing taller, with its trunk holding solid;
its roots growing deeper into its faithful soil;
its branches swaying in the breezes that pass by,
giving motion and rhythm to nature’s beauty,
using its energy to give rebirth to my being in the seasons to come, reuniting us as one.
As I can find shelter beneath it’s umbrella of leaves from the rain, the beating sun; I, too, find shelter within my heart from hurt, anger, sadness
Serving only as a brief respite,
I will never forget to come out from underneath that tree
to dance in the rain, allowing it to cleanse my soul
to bask in the sunlight, as it nourishes my spirit
with the gift of unconditional love, acceptance…
embracing all that I am in my renewal.
