Exactly what are Crystals?
Crystals are natural elements that come from the Earth. A true crystal has an organized grouping of unit cells that forms a unique lattices pattern called Crystal System. There are 6 lattice patterns that appear within healing crystals.

These are usually commonly used interchangeably. The technical differences are:

CRYSTAL:
A mineral that has crystalline interior structure. Agate, which is a hexagonal Crystal, is also a mineral and a rock.

GEM:
A cut and polished crystal, mineral or rock. A cut diamond (which is a mineral, crystal and rock) is also a gem or gemstone. Amber and pearls are organic substances that are considered gemstones but they are not crystals, minerals or rocks.

MINERAL:
A naturally occurring substance with a specific chemical composition and a highly ordered structure that may or may not be crystalline. Opal is a mineral that does not have a crystalline structure but is is a gemstone and a rock, not a true crystal.

ROCK:
A combination, or aggregate, of minerals. Marble, which is made up of multiple minerals, is a metamorphic rock, a rock that has been subjected to heat and pressure over time.

Everything has energy. Quantum physics shows that as its most basic, all matter is made up of vibrating strings of electricity. So is your body and so are crystals.

I admit, I was a skeptic for a long time and honestly, I did not want to believe. After my health was on a rapid decline I became desperate for anything that would assist my medical care in healing my ailments or at the very least slow down the disease. It was then that my husband swayed me into letting him use crystals to help me. At this point, I was grasping at anything and everything not only to help with my physical ailments but also to help me get a hold of my emotional and mental stability. We all get angry from time to time. One of the best ways to deal with anger is to allow yourself to fully experience it because when you do not try to control it, it passes through your more quickly. However, if the anger gets stuck or if you have issues that result from excessive or long-term anger, such as rage, frustration, or resentment, then working with crystals can help you release and move forward.

Healing Crystal #1: Malachite
Anger is often an issue of the Heart Chakra. It is an emotion of over-expression and excess energy, which means it needs to be absorbed and therefore requires an opaque Crystal that can absorb the energy as you release it. The deep green of malachite balances Heart Chakra energy by absorbing excessive energy. Since rage and anger often settle into the heart and cause unbalanced and excessive energy, the malachite hanging at that level absorbs it effectively.
Hanging a piece of malachite on a cord so the Crystal hands at heart level, and wear it throughout the day.
Cleanse the malachite daily.

For anger that arises from fear, which is a common cause of anger because it serves as a defense mechanism when feeling afraid, you will need an opaque black or red stone. It is recommended a piece of red or black Jasper be carried in a pants pocket. When anger gets ahold of you and does not pass, ask yourself if it is a defense mechanism for fear.
Hold the Jasper in your giving (dominant) hand and ground your feet firmly on the floor.
Visualize your anger as a dark red cloud draining through the bottom of your feet and into the Earth, which will neutralize it.

Healing from Anxiety
Anxiety can be an occasional thing, or it can be a chronic and debilitating condition. There are several types of anxiety such as social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, and generalized anxiety. The healings suggested are for persistent anxiety as opposed to short-term stress, which is covered in a separate healing crystal. Anxiety is another condition of excessive energy, so you need opaque stones that absorb, soothe and calm.

Healing Combination: Lavender Essential Oil and Amethyst
Fill your bathtub with warm water and add 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Soak for 10-15 minutes. As your anxieties arise, watch them drift away and repeat the mantra. Sit in the tub as it drains and visualize your worries and anxieties draining with the water. When the water is completely drained, get out and dry off. Then crawl into bed with a piece of Amethyst taped underneath the head of your bed or on your bedside table. Again, as anxieties arise, visualize them as clouds that drift harmlessly out of your head and into the universe. Repeat the mantra.
Healing from Balance Issues
Until balance is restored, you may feel as if your life is out of control and feeling unhappy.
